Common questions
What can I do here that a plain downloader can't?
Every size is shown side by side at real proportions, so you can judge a cover's small-size readability without opening five tabs. Batch mode takes a whole list of links at once, and one button downloads every available size of every video.
Why is the HD (maxres) thumbnail missing on some videos?
maxresdefault only exists when the uploader uploaded an HD custom thumbnail. If a size doesn't exist, YouTube returns a gray placeholder — the viewer detects that and hides the card instead of letting you download a placeholder.
Do you store links or images?
No. Parsing and downloading happen locally in your browser; images come straight from YouTube's image servers (i.ytimg.com). There is no account, no watermark and no server-side storage.
Can I reuse a downloaded thumbnail?
Thumbnails are copyrighted by their creators. Using them for reference, research or commentary is up to you to keep fair; republishing someone else's cover as your own is not okay. For your own uploads, use your own artwork.
